Python problems in suse 9.3

Hi om trying to install python-gtk rpm and pyhton-gnome rpm but the system keeps telling that i dont have python instaled. Im using yast-instaler. I double cheked the suse cd and python is there instaled. Im using yast in gnome but that shouldent be a problem right. I need this pakages for gDesklets to work. SuperKaramba works fine but I just cant get gdesklets to work because of this pakages.

Anybody had the same problem ?
