python extra packages

Dear all,

I have downloaded python from www.python.org and also numpy from www.sourceforge.net/projects/numpy.

As I had problem with the numerical module, one of the members of this site proposed to install python-numarray and python-numeric as well.

While searching through both of the sites mentioned, I did not find these packages. Does anyone has the address?

Regards,
Sara

You can find them on Google. You don't say what version and distribution of Linux you're using, so I can't look it up for you, and give you the link.

'python-numeric' will probably be sufficient
http://people.csail.mit.edu/jrennie/python/numeric/
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ackage_id=1351

'python-numarray' is a "special" from
http://packages.debian.org/etch/python-numarray
[python-numarray_1.5.2.orig.tar.gz]
(Please read the text)

Regards
