python-apt package dependency cannot be resolved when attempting to install GnuCash
When I try to install GnuCash and Homebank on my Debian squeeze 6.04 system using the Software Centre I get the error message:
"Package dependencies cannot be resolved" Under the Details tab there is one package listed: python-apt When I open Synaptic Package Manager it shows python-apt as installed and uptodate. How can I tell if this is a conflict between packages or what additional packages are required? What should I do to fix this? Surely these two packages should be able to install and run on my system. If not can anyone suggest a good similar package that I could use instead? Thanks Martin |
Unresolvable dependency = Windows 1 Linux 0 : back to Windows
I cannot work this dependency failure out.
Even the debian package skrooge won't install for the same reason. I am wasting my time. Anybody got any suggestions before I resort to windows - yuk! |
