pureftpd: why can't it find libmysql
 

I was just trying to install pureftpd w/ mysql support. It tells me that libmysql is needed for mysql support - DUH!!! I have a fully functional mySQL database installed, so that isn't the problem.... Why is it not seeing that.... anyone use pureftpd.... if not then can anyone recommend a good ftpd w/ mysql support?

you need to install the mysql-dev pacakges (i think that's what they'd be called in .deb world) so that the program has access to the headers and such like.
