Hi!
I installed pure-ftpd on Slackware 10.2! Everything is working perfect in size network, I configured port forwording for router to our ftp server, but when I connect from the outside, after I type username and password, nothing happns, it just like trying to recive information, but thats it.. but everything works from the inside network!! Anybody have any idea what could be the problem? Thank you!!

Sure you route from Wan to a specific lan address?

Are you using internal or external ip?

I'm running webserver also, and the webserver is running on the same Linux computer where FTP is. Everything works perfect with the webserver, from the inside network and outside, not with FTP.
I tried to add this option to command line, but it didn't work eather:
- '-N': NAT mode. Force ACTIVE mode. If your FTP server is behind a NAT box
that doesn't support applicative FTP proxying, or if you use port
redirection without a transparent FTP proxy, use this. Well... the previous
sentence isn't very clear. Okay: if your network looks like this:
(FTP server)-------(NAT/masquerading gateway/router)------(Internet)
and if you want people coming from the internet to have access to your FTP
server, please try without this option first. If Netscape clients can
connect without any problem, your NAT gateway rulez. If Netscape doesn't
display directory listings, your NAT gateway sucks. Use '-N' as a workaround.

Thank you!
