PsyBNC is an IRC proxy, its used to connect to IRC channels and hide the hostname/IP address of the user, it can also be used to have a "vhost" so that they are user@this.is.a.funky.domain.com and holding a nickname on IRC.

Datacenters have no problems with them as far as I know.

(Well I assume since I have a box running over 300 IRC proxies on it in a London Datacenter)
