ps --pid 7174 2 ?

I've started a process. When I check the process with

Code:
ps --pid 7174
(where 7174 is the pid)
I got followings:
Code:
  PID TTY TIME CMD
 7174 ? 00:00:15 java
But when I use 'ps --pid 7174 2', I got
Code:
  PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND
    2 ? S< 0:00 [migration/0]
 7174 ? Sl 0:15 /usr/lib/jvm/jre/bin/java -D[Standalone] -server -XX:+UseCompressedOops -D[test] -Djboss.socket.binding.port-offse
Here one can get more information about the process.

I wonder what is the sense of '2' after the PID in the command?

Not sure if I get the question, but this:
Code:
ps --pid 7174 2
shows process information about processes with pid 7174 and pid 2.
