Question ProFTPD and NTFS Volumes

Hey,

I'm having some problems with ProFTPD, not quite sure if they're solveable but here's the problem anyways.

I'm running Mandrake 10, with ProFTPD installed.

I have Mandrake installed on a 30GB hard drive dualbooted with Windows XP (Windows XP being my main OS)

I have an 80GB drive installed with all my FTP data on it, this drive is an NTFS volume.

When I configure ProFTPD to use the /mnt/win_c2/ folder as the home/root directory for ProFTPD, it doesn't allow me to do this. It uses a /home/username/ directory even though I've configured it to use /mnt/win_c2/. I'm not sure if this problem has to do with the fact that the drive is formatted as NTFS.

Anyone experience this problem as well, or have any suggestions as how I might resolve this problem?

Thanks,

heho

They are still working on NTFS write support for the Linux kernel, so it more than likely is a problem with it being NTFS formatted.
