Processor overload problem

When i start Conky my processor get overloaded.I find out its from xft.When xft is enabled my processor gets crazy like 80% (Intel Celeron 2.6)
I need xft to line up the fonts so i cant stop it.Any idea what to do?

How much memory do you have? Maybe your computer is swapping a lot.

I have 1.5GB + 2GB swap but the ram is not the problem it doesnt get much.
