Problems with vmware in full screen

I have vmware workstation 3.2. It's pretty good but there is a problem with full screen. Before i didn't have dga enable. I made it enable ..but in full screen i see some wierd colors, which doesnt look like an normal output. I use slack 8.1 with xfree98 4.2
I also use matrox g200 milenium 8mbytes agp.
It seems xfree86 4.2 has some problems with this Matrox.
I get always the error (when i start X) that the module mga_hal cant be loaded, because it doesnt exist. Anyway, the X works pretty good, the movies in mplayer also.
Btw, i tryed mplayer -vo dga to see if dga is a general problem in my X. It seems not because it worked.
Please help
