Attention: jsbjsb001 Would this be suitable ? I don't wish to throw rocks at Manjaro but having-been-there-before, raised the red flag!
Yet, after reading your wiki, how many of the top-dozen distros, do this ?
Its no wonder why most forums are over-run by 'newbies' ;>)
---------------delete accordingly-------thank you.

Recently installed Manjaro (distrowatch #4) which is based on ARCH Linux (distrowatch #61).

Now we discovered that Manjaro cannot process a device-driver from a major manufacturer.
The difficulty being, there is no software to load the manufacturer's-device-driver to the system.
Their explanation is to install ARCH, then use their "AUR"-private-drivers-library.

There is a ARCH convert-program "DEBTAP" to re-format scanner.DEB (example) to scanner.arch.
Once that is made available in their private repository, then Manjaro users (Me) can use it.

We posted to a support site, but they simply cannot support anything beyond the ARCH catalog.

Now that its explained, is there software, or a magician, that may help me with this problem ?
Otherwise, I'll revert back to old MINT and old LITE which can use "DEB" drivers.

Note: Very Few distros are campatible with Apple's MAC-OS and their APFS file system.
Generally speaking, any Debian-based distro higher than version 20 need not apply.
Thats why I tried Manjaro. It co-exists with APFS, with no known problems.

Comments are welcomed. Solutions are rewarded.
