Problems with ISO´s
After a lot of time thinking about it i , decided to install linux on my pc so, i have downloaded several ISO`s, Debian , Madrake and FreeBSD, but after i burned them to cd they dont seem to boot.
I have checked the bios and its configure to boot from the cdrom but it seems thats not the problem. Any ideas??? |
when you burned the iso's.. if you look on those cd's, are they just one large iso file.. if so, they did not burn properly.. and when you burn them, make sure your specifying that your burning a cd image...

Often there seems to be some confusion. Just to make crystal clear: You should be burning a cd from the image. If you're running Easy CD, then go to the File menu and select 'Make CD from Image'. Nero can be a little more difficult.

Check Linuxiso.org to find the manual for various cd-burning programs and how to burn iso's.

To: It is I
The only site I can find with Djezzer in it is in German. Can you give out the entire link so I can get there CDROM burning sw. -Thanks Rick |
Ok, the link in the above post should definetely work. If you click on the Nero link, you should be presented with a page that has a huge 'AHEAD SOFTWARE' banner. Just to the left, and above, there is a UK and a USA flag. Click on these to go to the English sites. BTW: You can download the demo version of Nero only. It is 11.1Mb. If you click on the Fireburner link, you should (obviously) be taken to it's page. You can download Fireburner for both Windows and Linux, and I believe you can use it free for the first 15 days.
