problems with giFT

I've been trying to install giFT for the past 3 hours on my Mandrake 9.1 system. I've downloaded the files needed via CVS from the giFT server and have them in my directory. When I go to run "sh ./autogen.sh" it seems to run fine, till it gets to the ./configure file, then it just sits there, no errors or anything, it just SITS there. It's bothering me because I've heard many good things about it and can't figure out why it would just sit there. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

You could always try to run the ./configure manually afterwards. Maybe running it with 'bash -x ./configure'. This will show what commands it runs and maybe will give you some clues why it's stopping. You could always post the output of that if you don't know what it all means.
