Problems with Fedora 16 live usb

Hi
i have fedora 16 live usb
i have FreeRapid on the hard disk (NTFS)
by the documentation i need to go to the firectory freerapid is zipped into & run " ~/.FRD "
it stated " first put correct executable rights on this file "
i tried to right click & change permissions but i can't change them.
could you help?

(byw i think it needs java. java is installed there by default?)

i'm still new i'm trying to migrate from windows

Usually you have to mount ntfs drives as read-write or with ntfs-3g. You shouldn't have to change file permissions. Not sure you can even put executable permission on that file system from linux.

Is this program already installed on some windows OS?

i opened it from linux... into the ntfs hdd (linux is on my usb stick)
