problems with dvd::rip

Hi.

I have just installed debian on my computer and wanted to install dvd::rip too. The installation went fine but when I tried to start it I got this error:

#dvdrip
Sat Oct 15 13:03:17 2005 Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: at /usr/share/perl5/Video/DVDRip/GUI/Main.pm line 49.

Anyone knows what to do?

Thanks

Run it as a user, not as root
try ALT+F2 and type dvdrip
