Problems with cdrom ...
So I get this cd with some reading material on it. I try to mount it using
mount /dev/hdc /media/cdrom it mounts fine the dmesg says -- ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 1 ISO 9660 Extensions: RRIP_1991A -- So far so good. but when i check /media/cdrom for the contents of the file - it is just empty. I checked the cd on a windooze machine and there it shows the contents just fine. (Rule out bad cd, bad cd drive problems) any tips in what could be wrong? Thanks in Advance. |
hi there,
yep. zero kernel language support. probably your kernel has not support for native language or code systems. regards slackie1000 [edit] it is somewhere here.. you need to set options according to your language needs and also for windows Joilet cdroms. File Systems --> Native Language Support --> |
