problems with ati drivers (NOT installing)

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone with a raden card (9600) ha problems when running in window mode?
I use the latest drivers, kernel 2.6.4 and xfree 4.3, and when in window mode, my screen gets all black sometimes...sound and all other activities are unaffected. I dont seem to have this problem in fullscreen mode...
Anyone heard of this? I am on a slackware 9.1 box...

thanks in advance

I haven't heard of that, but try to use 3.7.0 drivers and see if happens also.
