Problems mounting a fat32 partition under linux (slack 9.1)

I have a partition formated in fat32, that I use as a backup drive.
The problem is that the file permission change after I mount the
drive, allowing only the owner to access.

Does any one why is this happening??

Driver when unmounted:

drwxrwxrw- 2 root root 4096 Jan 5 19:48 data

Drive when mounted:

drwxr--r-- 6 root users 16384 Jan 1 1970 data

fstab file:

/dev/hdd3 /mnt/data vfat user,owner,umask-022,uid=0,users,gid=100 0 0

Hi!
instead of
Code:
/dev/hdd3 /mnt/data vfat user,owner,umask-022,uid=0,users,gid=100 0 0
you could try
Code:
/dev/hdd3 /mnt/data vfat user,umask-022 0 0
or something like that.
Regards
