Problems loading Fedora 10 and 11 on Dell Inspiron 1545

Hi Everyone,
I have a brand new Dell Inspiron 1545 that came loaded with 64bit Windows 7.

Specs:
Intel Xore 2 Duo Processor P8700
256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 Graphics card

I need to have Fedora running on the computer for work.

I have tried loading both Fedora 10 and Fedora 11 onto the computer without any success.

First I tried the Fedora 10 32bit Live DVD and it did not recognize the graphics card so nothing showed up.

I then tried the Fedora 10 64 bit Live DVD which also did not recognize the graphics card.

I then tried the Fedora 11 32bit Live DVD which booted up nicely but when I went to load the OS on my computer the install gave me an error during partitioning and would not let me continue on.

I did some research about the fedora 11 problem during partitioning and I saw a few mentions about changing the SATA option in the BIOS to ATA instead of ACHI which I did but got the same result (this also crashed windows) so I changed the option back to ATA.

Ideally I would like to load Fedora 10 and fix the graphics problem but I'm not sure how to go about this so I would be willing to upgrade to Fedora 11 if necessary.

Does anyone have any suggestions about where to go from here?
Has anyone successfully loaded Fedora on the Inspiron 1545?
Has anyone encountered these problems and know how to get around these problems?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

You can install the OS in text mode instead of GUI mode. Try another plain vanilla distro like debian; if it installs and works then you'll know that the problem is with a distro compatability. Fedora is bloated so be careful.

Figured it out.
I installed Fedora 10 in text mode and then referred to the following thread to get the GUI working.

I hope it helps some other people with this problem.
