problems installing xine, kxine


hi all ok i got xine to install properly but when i try to install kxine(specially made kde xine frontend) it gives me errors messeges here they are:

Well first off, xine has it's own very functional front end, kxine seems to be reinventing a wheel that doesn't need to be.

Second, post a bit more of that error message, from my end I think it looks a little shaved.
Also tell us what you have done/attempted to do to get it installed.

well to install it first i downloaded the xine tarball did the whole tar -zxvf name.gz thing did ./configure, make, make install, make clean that worked fine for xine then the problems started when i tired that w/ kxine and fi xine has its own frontend um where exactly is it???? cause i sure cant find it... thanx

I gave up on xine when I discovered mplayer. No need for it because mplayer can play just about any format. They also have gui that is great minus the playlist option. You should try it out:

I second that!

But to each their own, and xine has it's place (right next to Mplayer as a great runner up).

umthe file there is a .bzz or something like that i have no clue how to install those im tlaking bout mplayer by the way.... HELP plz .

bz2
That's a bzipped tarball, you untar it:
tar xvjf filename.bz2
With the -j flag instead of -z
