Problems installing dual boot system

Right now I'm running at my P4 wins 2000 and red hat 9. My boot system is working perfectly with grub. Unfortunately I'm force to format my Windows partition. I know that everytme you format and re-install windows he boot partition will ony but windows. I also know that using lilo there is a way to re-buiild the boot partition (creating a floppy disk and after installing windows running the boot disk), but I don't know how to do it using Grub
Any idea?

i use lilo myself and there you just have to rerun lilo to get the lilo-mbr in place again. i assume that reruning grub will do the same. boot with your linux cd, add root=/dev/yourrootpartition at the cdrom-prompt, and run grub (or how the grub-installer is called).

Read the 'grub' man page. There is a section called, creating a grub boot-floppy. After creating the boot floppy, test that is works. Then when the windows re-install wipes out the boot loader, you can still boot up into linux to re-install grub.
