Problems installing AIM


I am trying to install AIM and I get this messege

Some package requested cannot be installed:
aim-1.5.286-1.i386 (due to unsatisfied libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2)
do you agree ?

Plase Help...

Mandrake 10.1

that file is what... 3 years out of date? use a proper linux client like gaim, http://gaim.sf.net

I am very new to linux so I don't completety understand what your getting at. How can I get the new client?

you go to their website, and download it....

actually gaim will definitely be on your mandrake cd's already, so i assume you can jst install it instantly through thecontrol centre thingy they have.

ok I installed it... but now I cant find it...lol It didnt go into the start menu

just run "gaim" in a console.

gaim
from the terminal or add it to your menu so you don't have to all the time.

EDIT: Too slow

ok, thanks for help.....

I have one more question... I am running 4 HD and 3 of them are in RAID 0 and thats where I windows installed. The 4th HD is just for linux. Can I access my songs and movies which are in windows..???
