problems installing
 

Ok I was told if anyone could help me it would be yall. I am trying to install Mandrake 8.0 and am running into issues . I have windows 2000 pro installed right now and want to run a dual boot with linux.The problem I am running into is that my motherboard has on board raid. Promise IDE raid and Mandrake doesnt recognize the Raid so how do I get it to work. Cause without the raid I cant run the dual boot with windows 2000 cause its running with the raid. Everytime I get to installing it it wants to see my HD as 2 drives instead of 1 40 Gig. Please help if you can

The easiest way I know of around this would only to disable the raid, especially since Mandrake won't install due to it.

thanks but was hoping to find a fix to where i can use the raid as well. I have been using raid for along time and know that there are fixes for older linux OS so i was hoping to find one
