I am trying to configure apache server to run with php. I am running redhat7.2 After I compiled and installed php, I reconfigured apache with

./config.status --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a

then I did "make"
Here is the error.

I found this site and a fix is at the bottom of the page, however editing the makefile is beond me. How is this done?

Had the same problem, add --with-zlib to your PHP configure.
