Problem with XMMS

XMMS has been working perfectly until now. I have no idea what I doulc have done to make it not work but whenever I try to play a song it spits out the error "Unable to connect to UNIX socket /tmp/.esd/socket" in the terminal.

I'm not sure how to fix this. Has anybody had a similar problem?

FIXED IT.

The problem was that after an unwanted reboot of the computer, some files were left running that weren't supposed to be running.

The steps to fixing this problem are simply:

1. In terminal type:
su -
rm -fr /temp/.esd

This deletes the socket so that XMMS can create its own socket, properly.
