Problem with WinEx and Half-Life

I have been trying a while to get half-life to work with winex3-1. I have tried earlier with winex3-0-pre1 and winex2. When i try to start HL I get this and not startup.

I think it may have something to do with glibc2.3.2, I am running slackware9 and I recently upgraded all of my packages with Dropline Gnome to i686. Halflife sort of worked before I upgraded just with low fps and weird textures.

Are you using Your windows XP, NT, 2k as a basis for winex? (Using that /windows directory?)
If so, you might get errors in ntdll.dll. Wine doesn't support yet windows nt. Try installing HL in a new folder, using a windows configuration that has nothing to do with your old windows system. (or use it on windows 98)
