Problem with video and audio

"No decoders for the requested formats: audio/mpeg."
and elsewhere, "no compatible source was found for this media." How do I get a compatible source and decoder? I'm using OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 on a Dell Inspiron 1545. Video and audio used to work. Youtube still works. Much other video and audio don't work.
Why don't they have a troubleshooter on Linux like they do on Windows?

Did you even bother to try a google search???

Here's what I typed into google "opensuse audio video codecs".

The first result: http://opensuse-guide.org/codecs.php

WHAT are you trying to decode?
WHICH application has given you this output?
please post complete commands and complete output and a working example, if possible.

Windows is for people that do not liking doing things for themselves.

Linux is for them that do.

then their are the others that flip flop between the two... MAC OS? lmao

Firefox. It also doesn't work on Opera or Vivaldi.

Are you going to answer the first question ondoho asked???

Being "WHAT are you trying to decode?"

I'll talk like Darth Vader to Admiral Motti: "I find your lack of automation disturbing!"

Couldn't find it on Google.
However...
I installed those software, and somehow it worked on Firefox. I don't know which software was installed that made it work, perhaps ffmpeg...
Still doesn't work on Vivaldi - it showed "jPlayer 2.7.1 : id='audio-player-container' : Warning!
The number of css selectors found did not equal one: 0 found for fullScreen method.
Check your css selector and the ancestor." Doesn't work on Opera either.

ComputerCritic, my question was valid.
I'm sorry if my or anybody else's style of writing disgruntled you.
Since I cannot get any meaning from your last 2 answers, could you simply go back and give us more useful information about your problem?

ComputerCritic, I'm not trying to be rude but, you continue to ask questions where the answers can be found quite easily by doing a simple google search, rather than wasting other LQ members time. Also, you are not giving (and have not given) us enough information to even be able to help you in any useful way. ondoho's questions in post #3 are very valid questions that, would have enabled us to help you, if you bothered to answer them, in the first place, please read this.

PS. I'm done with this thread, so I hope for your sake, other members are sill willing to help you. Sorry.

Oops! I think I quoted the wrong other.
