seems to cover exactly the same problem, and has had some replies. In fact, at this point, all of you threads are about a single problem, and it might have been better to have started just one thread, if starting just one thread had pushed you in to describing what exactly that problem was. (Yes, you want to do some scripting with the output from top, yes it was all in aid of some objective that is probably too difficult for you to achieve this way, as it requires uncommon thermal modelling and simulation technology, but what are you doing all this for, exactly? Maybe there is an easier/more feasible way of doing whatever it is.)
