Problem with PuTTY
I know this isn't technically Linux software, but it's in line with this forum...
I occasionally have to connect to one of my Linux servers from (gasp) windoze. I keep PuTTY and PSFTP on a USB drive. This works fine with one exception... when using Emacs, some of the key bindings don't work... "End" Puts me into Mark-Set mode, "Home" puts me into I-Search, F1 brings up Windoze help, and a few of my other F-key and Ctrl/Meta keymappings don't work. Any idea on how to fix this, or prevent it? Thanks, Jason |
Have you looked at the Terminal -> Keyboard settings?

I set the fucntion keys type to "Linux" and tried Home and End Keys as both Standard and rxvt. Neither of them worked.

I use PuTTY but I don't use Emacs. Sorry man.
If I press F1, something happen in PuTTY's windows, not in Windows itself. |
