problem with MySQLAdmin.rpm installation

Hi There,

I downloaded MySQLAdmin (mysql-administrator-1.1.5-1.i386.rpm) from MySQL web site in precompiled RPM format recently. When I install it, it shows a list of missing dependencies.

But that list of missing dependencies is not true. I checked those files and they are present on my Linux PC.(Version Slackware-10.2)

What should I do now.

There is a tool for installing RPM's in Slackware, but maybe it can't handle your mysql-admin package good enough. Try to compile and install from source.
http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/M...r.gz/from/pick

RPM's are generally for RedHat based distributions, but there are some other distros like SuSe and Mandrake/Mandriva that use them. Slack does not.

Regards, Boby.
