On my Debian system, mysqld is in /usr/sbin. You probably don't have /usr/sbin in your $PATH. In any case, if you need to start it by hand, it's best to use the mysqld_safe wrapper. Anyhow, I'm not sure what your problem is since it looks like it's starting OK.

I'm not sure why you can't fing mysqladmin -- did you install the mysql-client package from apt? Try running updatedb as root and then doing locate mysqladmin.

Question problem..... problem...

Presently, my problem with mysql is that. When i log on mysql with (. /etc/init.d/mysql.server start) everything is ok. I have alway my trouble with hold on to mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql/var, but if i put in boot up , everything is ok. (I changed config in the my.cf and mysql.server, I'm not too sure but that's work)

But if i log out of my debian session, trouble... I'm not able to return to mysql...:Command not found. If I restart mysql (. /etc/init.d/mysql.sever stop after start) everything is find. My mysql command is ok. I will use differently login and i don't have problem. But if i log out ......

mysqld is not in the /usr/sbin/ and i don't found on /*/sbin.I found in /usr/local/mysql/libexec/msqld. I used mysql 3.23.49 binary.

If someone is interested
