Angry Problem with M810LMR Board & Linux 7.2

I bought the book "Red Hat Linux 7.2 Bible" by Christopher Negus at the book store and it contained a set of CD's for the 7.2 distribution. I purchased an M810LMR board, AMD 1700+mhz cpu, 256mb memory, 40g+ disk drive, etc.. I then tried to load the software (either from CD or/and Floppy) and shortly into the loading process I got the following:

PCI:........(several lines of PCI stuff)
Linux Net4.0 for Linux 2.4
Based upon Swansea University Computer Society Net3.039
invalid operand: 0000
CPU: 0
(reg dump follows)

NOTE: I did get Linux 6.1 successfully installed.

Any help you can give me with this would be greatly appreciated.
