Problem with Konsole closing other programs

Hi,
I recently installed Mandrake 9.2 on my machine. I'm using Visual Slick Edit (code editor) which I start from a Konsole window using "vs&". When I close the Konsole window it kills the Visual Slick Edit program as well, I would have expected it to leave Slick Edit running. So now I am forced to keep the Konsole window running in order to use Slick Edit. Same issue with Kwrite and other programs. I've used Mandrake 9.1 before and I seem to remember it not behaving this way. Is this the default behaviour? Or is there some setting that I can change to change this?

Thanks,

Mark

instead of just closing the konsole, type exit. (that's how things work with xterm).
