You should put your distro in your profile to make it easier for someone to help you. Obviously you need to install a libgailutil package but without indicating even if you have an rpm, debian or other based distro, it makes it hard to know where you might look for it.

Missing directory? You could search for "libgailutil.so.17" on the http://rpm.pbone.net website.

Then run "sudo /usr/ldconfig".

any help I have built and compiled gyachi 1.1.0 on slack 12. but on the 11.0 and 10.2 the problem after upgrading to meet the dependencies will leave my browsers useless .It seems to me the Pango problem and the cario problem to. all theses systems run the 3.6 gcc. the problem I find is with the client pmnotebook header file. Any help guys because I have people that just dont want to give up the old slack 10.2
