Problem with GNOME Save dialog
When, in any GNOME application, I choose "File" ==> "Save As...," "Create Folder," <type in the new folder's name>, [ENTER], and the file name disappears! This happens especially in Firefox, which uses the same Save dialog as GNOME applications. If I want to save some_file_with_a_long_but_useful_name.html, since the file's name disappeared from the Save Dialog after I created the new folder, I have to find the original name. My work around is this: "File" ==> "Save As...", <copy file name>, "Create Folder," <type in new folder's name>, [ENTER], <paste file name>, "Save." :annoyed:
GNOME 2.10.2 Mandriva 2006 |
I have noticed this on Mandriva and other distros using gtk 2.8.x. I am not sure whats causing the problem but it does not seem to be a firefox specific problem.
