Problem with Gaim~!!

Sorry for this very stupid question~~

Where can I find Gaim after I install it by rpm~??
I search the / folder, but there are no result was found. This event also happen on Licq~~

and another question was that I cannot connect to yahoo by yahoo messenger~~~Everytime I login to the Yahoo Messenger, the connect state just keep connecting, and doesn't go on anymore~~~

And I can't connect to Gaim, When I click sign on button, it shows a Sign on Error said unable to connect to host. no matter MSN or ICQ plug-in~~!!

it really doesn't matter where gaim is actually located, it's probably /usr/local/bin/gaim, but it really doesn't matter at all. i don't quite understand how you first can't find the program, but then complain that you can't sign on to yahoo using it...

also don't use the ICQ plugin, just use the "AIM / ICQ" one, as AIM is actually identical to ICQ.

Sorry~~that's not the same question, it's not the yahoo plugin for Gaim~~I mean that I had already installed Yahoo Messenger for Red Hat Linux ~~ but it cannot connect to host(maybe, beacause the connect state just keeping connecting....)

For the question which I ask for where gaim locate, beacause I cannot find the Gaim file in it. And I run the search program to search the / folder, Also nothing in it~~!! So, I want to know where it located after installing.

I'm very sorry for my unclear description...

Well, if you're just trying to find it, just run:
updatedb
locate gaim
You'll get everywhere gaim is found, the executable is in /usr/bin/ on my machine

I'm hoping I'm answering the question you wanted

Not sure what the actual problem is, but I had the same issue with version 0.59 Upgrade to 0.62 and you should b good

http://gaim.sourceforge.net/downloads.php

{edit} sorry - just saw that you do have 0.62 - not sure what the issue is in that case

make sure you login the proper way. keep in mind what gaim would possibly stand for....g AIM? as in AOL? the default thing it's trying to use is AOL.

first of all you have to load the plugin for Yahoo, ICQ or MSN
http://edmonton-elite.cjb.net/junk/gaim1.png

now go to accounts and make a new account, here is the MSN account setup for example
http://edmonton-elite.cjb.net/junk/gaim3.png

then you go into accounts and click the button to sign in for the account you want
