Problem with alsa and 5.1 sound.
 

I tried many times to make my new sound card work. It works only on 2 channels over SPDIF. My sound card is Chaintech AV-710.

Don't know what to do next I an out of ideas. I am not an alsa expert.

speaker-test -Dplug:spdif -c6
plays only front left and front right.

I'm using gnome-volume-control, within you have to open preferences to check there 3d controll switch and then go to the second tab and enable it.
