Problem setting up fluxbox
 

I have installed fluxbox on a fresh Ubuntu installation. Changing keys was no problem. Via fluxbare I changed the key file to the ~/fluxbox/keys. But there is no effect when changing the init file. I added the line:

session.screen0.rootCommand: bsetroot -solid black

But it has no effect. It works from xterm. I have not had this problem before. It seems like it is reading a different init file. Can someone help me out here?

The global init file is /usr/X11R6/share/fluxbox/init. Maybe that's the one it's reading. If so there's something wrong with the one in your ~/.fluxbox directory. Check the permissions and ownership of the file and the syntax for the bsetroot command. Personally I use fbsetbg for mine to use a gif or jpg image.
