problem loading VLC

Hey u all,

I was using mainly VLC and I was happy with it. Once I did an update of all packages available thru YaST then VLC does not want to open again since then. It might have been an update in gstreamer plugings that cause the problem but if I just go and remove them then I cannot play any files at all thru Totem. What can be the problem and how to resolve it??? Meanwhile I´ve tried installing and uninstalling VLC for several times without any success.
Btw I am using SUSE 10.2, 64-bit

Thanks in advances,

Petros

When you open a terminal and type:
vlc movie.avi

Where movie.avi is a movie file, what is the output on the terminal?

Cool
