Problem Istalling perls GD module

I'm having trouble getting GD to work.

I'm running Suse 8.1, and I used yast2 to install GD libraries and the perl modules.

It all seems to go OK, but my scripts don't work.

it says:

Can't locate auto/GD/Image.al in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .)

Do I need to install something else?

thanks

First thing I would do is check to verify that the GD module was correctly installed. You can verify that it was installed into your @INC by this one-liner:
for i in `perl -e "print \"@INC\""`; do find $i -type f -name "GD.pm"; done

That will show you every place that GD exists in @INC.

What version of GD did you install?
What version of libgd is installed?
