Problem installing weblogic on linux system


i am trying to install weblogic app server 8.1 on linux system and i keep getting this error

End-of-central-directory signature not found.
** Error during init, error code = 2

am using gnu-linux. i downloaded the redhat linux distribution of weblogic.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Weblogic Installation On Linux

Hi Ross,

Iam also getting problem while installing WebLogic Portal Server 7.0 On Red Hat Linux 7.0.

I have downloaded the WebLogic Portal Server "Package Installer" having extension .bin.

While executing the package in Linux, the file getting 100% extracted and then throwing the error

"Error during execution, error code = 11."

Iam executing in root directory.

Suggest me which can be wrong.
