problem installing Gaim ver0.61
 

i downloaded Gaim v0.61 from gaim.sourceforge.net.
I uninstalled the existing version 0.59.8.
I got the following error message when i tried to install the latest version:

error: gaim-0.61-1.i386.rpm: headerRead failed: hdr blob(48233): BAD, read returned 38787
error: gaim-0.61-1.i386.rpm cannot be installed

Ver 0.59.8 has error with Yahoo plugin. I received the following error message:

choy_kamheng@yahoo.com has already signed off. Can't read.

How come???
Can anyone help me, please?

I can't really help you installing the 0.61 version of Gaim since I don't have any experience with it. I do know that the 0.59.9 version works quite happily with the Yahoo plugin. You can download it from the sourceforge page still:

that rpm is just clearly corrupted, get a new one from http://gaim.sf.net
