problem in manipulation of float values in K shell


Hi,

I am woking in kshell in SCO unix platform

I want to work around with float values.

Is that possble in kshell to do the float values calculation?

FYI, We dont have neither zsh nor ksh93

Any help, appreciated!!!!

Most Korn shells do NOT allow floating-point numbers.

Most if not all shells do not do non-integer maths natively. You'll need to call eg bc to do that, or if its a fair bit of calcn, I'd recommend Perl.
