problem in installing the software

Hi,
I am facing problem in installing the software, the problem that I am facing is that where to place the .rpm files which I have download from the Internet?
And where to place the source files?
Are there ny different folders for admin and normal users?

Thanks

Hmm, I am not a RedHatter ... so I will guess that the rpm package can be saved anywhere as the Redhat Package Manager (rpm) utility does not care.

If the rpm is source ... then the rpm utility will extract it in to the required directory as specified within the rpm package file.

I would say no.
