Problem establishing a secure VNC connection

Hello --

I am trying to set up a secure VNC connection between two systems. The server is running CentOS 5.3 32-bit distribution, and the client is a Windows-based workstation.

I have downloaded and installed the X11VNC packages onto the server. The two packages are the following:

Quote:
x11vnc 0.9.13-8.el5
x11vnc-javaviewers 0.9.13-8.el5
I am trying to connect using the SSVNC client. However, while I am able to establish a connection to the server, I am immediately disconnected from it.

According to the instructions given at the x11vnc website, I am running the following command to start the daemon:

Quote:
x11vnc DISPLAY=:0
The output that I get from the server is the following:

17/12/2013 12:31:33 Wireframing: -wireframe mode is in effect for window moves.
17/12/2013 12:31:33 If this yields undesired behavior (poor response, painting
17/12/2013 12:31:33 errors, etc) it may be disabled:
17/12/2013 12:31:33 - use '-nowf' to disable wireframing completely.
17/12/2013 12:31:33 - use '-nowcr' to disable the Copy Rectangle after the
17/12/2013 12:31:33 moved window is released in the new position.
17/12/2013 12:31:33 Also see the -help entry for tuning parameters.

17/12/2013 12:31:33 warning: XShm extension is not available.
17/12/2013 12:31:33 For best performance the X Display should be local. (i.e.
17/12/2013 12:31:33 the x11vnc and X server processes should be running on
17/12/2013 12:31:33 the same machine.)
17/12/2013 12:31:33 Restart with -noshm to override this.
I have checked the sshd_config file. The following line has been uncommented, and the SSH server has been restarted.

Quote:
AllowTcpForwarding yes
When I try to connect via ssh within the ssvnc client, output indicating an initial success, but then a sudden failure appears on-screen. I have included a snapshot of the output with this posting.

What step(s) do I need to take in order to successfully access the desktop of the remote server via a secure connection?
