Problem emerging package gtkam in gentoo

I am getting the following error during the emerge:

root@localhost pagano # emerge gtkam
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.10-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) gtkam-0.1.10.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking gtkam-0.1.10.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/gtkam-0.1.10-r1/work
* Applying gtkam-0.1.10-norpm.patch... [ ok ]
>>> Source unpacked.

(Bunch of checking configuring)

!!! (no error message)

root@localhost pagano #

What is the cause of this?

Gentoo 2004.1
Kernel 2.6.6 running on the same config as my previous 2.6.5 & 2004.0 when this emerged nicely

Have you changed your USE flags? I had some problems recently compiled something (don't remember what) and I solved this by adjusting the USE flags in /etc/make.conf

Quick replys on this forum...I think I like this place

Heres the thing, I'm fairly new to gentoo, buddy of mine helped me set it up about a month ago, soon after, my HD crashed. I took it upon myself to learn how to do this and am having slight hiccups along the way.

The USE flags are a bit different from what we started with orignially because I recall him telling me to remove certain ones that I'd never use again, but forgot which ones they were, as did he.

Any suggestions?

Current:

USE="use mmx acpi oss tcltk ssl libg++ gtk gtk2 gtkhtml python aalib alsa avi bonobo cdr cups crypt gif imap jpeg maildir mpeg png pnp tiff truetype usb videos wxwindows xml xml2 xv"
