Problem config NX to connect to Linux host from MS machine

Howdy
I downloaded NX(http://www.nomachine.com/products.php) software which allows user to connect to a Linux host(pretty much like WINAXE but this is a free version) from a MS machine & let KDE run on MS as a separate app.
I configured NX successfully but can't connect to my Linux(FC4-KDE) box which also on my wireless LAN.
I have a wireless NET GEAR router and I port-forwarded(admin page on 192.168.0.1) requests to port 22 to my Linux box.
I've never done such thing before, as I'm jealous Linuxer.

The message is: Authentication failed.
I use my root name and password on FC4 to connect to it.

My specs are as follows:
FC4 box LAN ip: 192.168.0.3 (This, I typed in the host location in NX)
RLogin: port 22 on NX and router

Should I do something on my Linux box to allow this requests?

Cheers

Hi there, It could be that you have key authentication on so what happens is NX will accept your linux username and password, but would then fall over when trying to locate the key.

This link here shows where the key is and how to import it into your nx session on the client. You should then be up and running.

Hope this helps.

There is talking about(the link) going to /etc/nxserver which is on the Linux box, does that mean I need to have NX installed on my Linux box as well?

Hi,

Yes you will need the NXSERVER package installed on the Linux machine that you wish to connect to. This provides the neccassary information that is transmitted back to the client machine. There is instructions on the link on installing and configuring the NX Server.

Yes you need to install FreeNX on your Linux box. Here are instructions and packages for installing and setting up FreeNX on Fedora Core.
