Problem compiling Frozen Bubble

Hi,

I can't get Frozen Bubble 1.0.0 to compile, it halts when trying to compile a test for SDL and SDL_mixer. I can compile a similar test using the command-line, so I have no idea why its not working. The makefile is in PERL (c_stuff/Makefile.PL) which I don't know, but theres nothing obviously out of place.
