well, ive been installing gentoo since last tuesday and I am very upset. I've run into one problem after another. Now I finallly get to building the kernel with genkernel all, it gives me this error. RROR: Failed to compile the "bzImage" target..

system was bootstrapped properlly with the correct settings for a Pentuim two.
Here's the system specs:
Pentuim2 Slot 1 450Mhz
192MB RAM... checked ok under memcheck86
GeForce 4 64MB
DVD-ROM
CD-ROM
Netgear 10/100 Ethernet
I agree with SciYro. Although I use gentoo I always roll my own kernels manually. You can emerge the sources, then build them manually. Check this link for the different kernels: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-kernel.xml
Though you probably just want to use vanilla-sources or perhaps gentoo-sources.
