prob xvid with xine

hello,

I have a problem with xvidcore and xine under my suse 9.1pro.

maybe I did something wrong, but I look for it in google and I didn't see any response to my problem.

When I want to configure Xine and the codec, I have only the choice to choose the directory of win32 codec et the real one.

I'm not an expert but maybe I have to copy some files into the win32 directory.
Or untar the xvidcore into an other directory.

So If someone can help me, it could be great

Thanks a lot

cheyrek

Go to xinehq.de and download the most recent build of xine-ui and xine-lib. Installing them is dead easy, even if you're new to this.
What you need to do is unpack the files using the tar command. When unpacked, go into each directory, su to become root, run ./configure, followed by make install.
If you have any problems, don't be afraid to ask.

I will try the rpm this evening (I'm in France) and launch a xvid in order to test.

one more question, is the xvid codec integrated into your rpm link ?
